His Childhood and Birth
Sri Sathya Sai Baba was born Sathyanarayana Raju on the 23rd of November 1926 from the village Puttaparthi located situated in Andhra Pradesh in South India.When he was a kid His spiritual bent and contemplative disposition set Him apart from the other youngsters of his age, and He was called ‘ Guru’ and ” Brahmajnani’ (knower of Brahman or Godhead) in His community as well as other members of the village.
It wasn’t until the 20th of October, 1940, when He declared His famous declaration about His Avatarhood (‘Avatar is a reference to ‘Divine Incarnate as a Human Being’) that the world was aware of this divine event.
The Life of Sai Baba – Things You Should Learn

Sai Baba soon left the Shirdi after three years, without any acknowledgment, but he soon returned.Since no one was aware of his true name, the public began referring to him by his name ‘Sai Baba.He would dress in a long knee-length cloak and a strip of cloth that was tied around his head to form caps. Because of this, people would usually refer to Sai Baba as Fakir.
He was not very social with natives and spent the majority of his time in meditation in trees.Since he didn’t have a place to live in the city, he walked around the town and was able to keep in touch with the alms which were often provided by his followers.However, he ended up taking up a mosque that was shabby for his home.Then, he moved the place to Dwarakamai.
